| Ingredients |
 |
-
7 ounces Crème Fraîche (soured cream)
-
1 small can tomatoes (about 1 pound)
-
2 ounces butter
-
2 ounces tomato paste (also known as tomato concentrate)
-
Pepper (small amount, to taste)
|
|
200ml Crème Fraîche (soured cream)
1 small can tomatoes (about 400g)
50g butter
70ml tomato paste (also known as tomato concentrate)
Pepper (small amount, to taste)
|
|
| |
| Preparation |
 |
-
Put all the ingredients into a pot. Do NOT drain the tomatoes; add the entire can (juice and all) to the pot.
-
Warm over medium heat, while stirring the ingredients together. If the tomatoes are whole tomatoes rather than chopped tomatoes, break them up into smaller pieces as you stir.
-
The sauce is ready once the ingredients are mixed and warm

| Additional Notes |
 |
This sauce could be used with a variety of main dishes. For example, stuffed peppers or spaghetti in tomato sauce.
Normally my recipes call for pepper and salt. However, as this recipe is using canned ingredients, which normally have salt already added, adding additional salt may be too much.
